BC To NS

Started my trip east on Monday afternoon after my van got the last of the work done on it.

Cranbrook, BC

Monday July 13, 2015. This is a picture of the mountains in Cranbrook. Temperatures here are a whole lot cooler than Kelowna. Was nice to sleep at night in my camper

Bill Lives

I Buried Bill in "Stephen King's" "Pet Sematary" and then one week later Bill came home! I thought he was a goner, but the cat came back! :)

Bill Playing it Cool

No trees to hide under here. Hot and dusty.

Wednesday July 15, 2015. Gas and coffee stop and then on my way east. 897 miles done since I left Kelowna. Van only does comfortable 110 kms. on the flat and 70 kms. going up hill. Price of gas here is 107.9.

Here are some pictures I took while driving through Manitoba.
While driving down the highway there are a million gorgeous views, but no place to stop and take a picture. And if you could stop, it would take you forever to get to your destination. So just to see what the pictures would turn out like, I rolled the window down in the van and took a few shots. This is what I captured, at 110 Kms per hour.

I think Manitoba is all about the flat fields and sky!

Thursday July 16, 2015
Camped at Falcon Lake Last Night. Traveled on the bypass road around Winnipeg. Did not realize there would not be any place to stop and ended up traveling another hour to Falcon Lake to sleep. First place I saw that I could stop and set up camp, I did. See the line of cars. The empty spot. Pulled right in there. It was cool and quiet, and in the morning the coffee shop was right there for breakfast. How nice is that.

Falcon Lake

Stayed in Thunder Bay on Thursday July 16, 2015
Had to drive around a bit and look at Google Map to locate a place to stay for the night and go out for dinner. Ended up being Wal Mart. I could not believe how many campers were staying there. Made it easy because right next door was a good restaurant. It is so Beautiful right on Lake Superior. Decided to take Hwy 17 east along the lake and enjoy the views.

Friday July 17, 2015 Leaving Thunder Bay.
Woke up in the morning and just my luck it was totally foggy! So much for lake views. The whole day was on a foggy road. Slow going. Ontario has a project on the go, replace every old bridge. So it was one lane only to cross bridges. Called it a day at Wawa. Parked right on the lake in Wawa.
1112 Miles Done

I could barely see where I was going when I got to town. Will have to take a drive around and find a nice place for dinner.

Bill is doing fine :)
