BC To NS Two

July 19, 2015
From Thunder Bay all the way to Sault Ste. Marie it was foggy and then just coming out of the city the fog lifted. Speed limit 90 Kms. and one lane going each way. Everybody keeps moving. Mostly overcast so makes it a lot cooler for traveling. No AC in van. Windows get opened lots! Arrive hot and sweaty :(

In the fog I had to slow down for a gaggle of geese that where crossing the road, and then just a couple of yards past them I had to slow down for two birds crossing the road. They were big, tall, dark brown and had long beaks. They were traveling together. ????? Looked on the internet and the only thing they matched was exotic birds from Africa. Maybe they are a couple of escapees from the zoo? Never know what you will see, should have had a head cam.

Now you can start seeing the lake.

Saw This When I Stopped For Lunch

Took the Sudbury bypass road. So I did not get to see the black rocks from all the nickel mining. But as we all know, "The girls are out to bingo and the boys are getting stinko, on a Sudbury Saturday Night." Stomping Tom.

Stayed in North Bay for the night. Wal Mart camping again.
1546 Miles Traveled
Morning at the Camp Site. LOL

North Bay has grown since I was here 5 years ago. Headed for Ottawa now.

Hot and muggy in southern Ontario. All my cloths were sticking to me and the sweat was just pouring off me. A thunder shower rolled through around Osgoode just as I was getting gas. Boy did it pour. I took the opportunity to take a shower. Even the rain was hot. The 416 Hwy., what a nice road to drive on. The amount of traffic traveling along the road is unbelievable.

They have a new bypass road that goes around Montreal. Taking it for sure. I getting on it in Valleyfield. The number 30 hwy. Takes you passed everything and headed to Quebec. Over cast in Quebec so it made it cooler to drive.

Montreal - Quebec non stop traffic! So many cars and trucks wow! Quebecers love their St Hubert, Tim Horton and Mac Donald's. That is mostly what you see for food stops. And of course, Subway.

My goal was to make it passed Quebec City and then stop for the night. Lots of rest stops along the 20 hwy. The first rest stop passed Quebec is where I stopped. This one is further from the highway and very quiet. Lots of other campers there to keep me company.

Milage now 2167.

Next Riviere-Du-Loup

Then New Brunswick here I come. The new roads they have made are so nice to drive on.
Stopped for breakfast and saw this at the restaurant. A truck made of straw.
